Virtual Reality from Surreality to Reality
We are truly blessed to live in the transcendent times of 2016. Where technology has become a blurred line between imagination and consumerism. There's not a moment during my journeys through the inter-web where I find that I'm not being sold to successfully. Now with VR tech companies on the rise like Oculus we can leave behind our "real" lives and completely immerse ourselves in fantastic dream worlds where we can live out pre-ordained, pre-written stories of our choosing without any distraction from the exterior plane of existence. Now, don't get it twisted, I'm all for advancing the art known as entertainment through escapism, but how far is far enough? Film-maker and artist Keichii Matsuda gives us a provocative and kaleidoscopic, new vision of the not so far future, where physical and virtual realities have merged. As I watched, I thought to myself is it a Utopia or Dystopia? What do you think?
